  VACANCY NOTICE The VIRGIN ISLANDS DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE is seeking a human resources professional to serve in the position of HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR. The Human Resources Director will be based in the District of St. Thomas/St. John. The Human Resources Director will, in addition to other duties, oversee the department’s recruitment, interview, selection, and hiring processes; follow and ensure compliance with relevant human resources laws and procedures; oversee and facilitate the update of employee records; respond to and address all inquiries by unions and employees in a professional and timely manner; conduct and coordinate training; and recommend appropriate innovative measures for improving performance evaluations and employee engagement. QUALIFICATIONS: • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar relevant field. • Strong analytical and project management skills. • In-depth knowledge of Human Resource operations, laws and regulations. • Previous experience working as an HR Director for a minimum of 2 years. COMPENSATION: Salary range 70k to 85k. Commensurate with experience.
